Julia Coash is currently an Associate Professor in Studio Art and Art History at Albertus Magnus College and Co-chair of the Art Department. She has held teaching positions at: Bermuda College; the American University in Cairo, Egypt; Bradford College; and Wabash College.

Coash is a painter and has exhibited her work in Bermuda, Paris, Cairo and throughout the United States. Galleries representing her work include, among others, the Grey McGear Modern in Los Angeles and The Townhouse Gallery in Cairo. Her work was exhibited at the 2002 Bacardi Biennial at the Bermuda National Gallery.

Coash received an MFA in Painting from James Madison University; an MSEd in Higher Education from Southern Illinois University and her undergraduate degree in Ethnographic Photography also from Southern Illinois University. In conjunction with these studies she completed field work and research projects on "Attitudes Toward Nature in Chinese Painting During the Sung Dynasty", "The Evolution of Design and Style in Navajo Weaving" and "The Weaving Techniques Forms and Styles of Tarabuco, Bolivia".
